The Abyss

A client work i crafted for an artist, using Blender.

This project was mainly about lighting/rendering volumetrics, and recreating the artist in 3D. For the latter, we've used different techniques. We tried to 3D scan him, but the quality wasn't good enough, so i recreated roughly his face and facial features using a blender add-on. As the subject was far away, his face not right on front of the camera and a pretty dark lighting, there was no need for a lot of details, i mostly needed the silhouette for it to work.
